Microsoft has already indicated there is going to be a six week wait for Windows Vista SP1 because of driver issues. Even without that, they seem to have issues with just the prerequisite downloads for SP1.
In most cases, they reported that the final update hung while displaying the message “Configuring Updates Step 3 of 3 – 0% Complete,” which was followed by a reboot of the PC. Which was followed by another reboot, and another. “[It] reboots ad infinitum,” said Frank Melk on the Microsoft support newsgroup. A smaller number reported a different problem: After the update, their computer refused to boot normally.

Ubisoft has announced that a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Limited Edition will ship to stores on March 18, 2008, for Xbox 360 and PS3 (No PC Version Yet), and will retail for an MSRP of $69.99. ATi’s Catalyst 8.2 is out! There’s a huge list of fixes for Windows Vista and a few for Windows XP. There are fixes for high rated games like World of Warcraft and Enemy Territory Quake Wars, so make sure you grab this driver if you play any of these. The release notes can be found here (read/download in pdf format).
The only performance improvements mentioned are for the 2000 and 3000 series. You can expect a 20% increase in frame rates in Company of Heroes in DX10 mode. In CrossFire the performance will be improved by as much as 30%.

We all knew Novalogic was working on a new title, rumored to be The Unit: Operation Acid Gambit, based on the TV series, but that seems to have been abandoned by now. Last we heard Novalogic bought a motion capture unit from PhaseSpace for its game development. While details are currently non-existant, a teaser image does reveal a first clue as to its possible setting, the background shows an faint outline of South America. There should be more details soon, as DF: BO is scheduled for 2008.
UPDATE: Seems Novalogic is either keeping us guessing or has changed the name to Delta Force: Angel Falls, possibly due to a conflict with a pre-existing Black Ops mod. Angel Falls is a brand of Venezuelan coffee, fits with the South America setting.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 improves on the cooperative modes found in the original and adds a series of new competitive modes to the mix.
